Tips That Will Make You A Better Golfer!

Getting a good score in golf is a matter of refining your body, concentration, and club-handling skills. The tips and techniques in the following paragraphs can help you up your game.

All of your muscles, in particular trunk and legs, need to be involved in order to achieve a powerful swing. Simulate the cracking of a whip while you swing your torso around and push your feet firmly against the ground. The energy for the arched swing begins in the feet and is transferred up through the legs and into your trunk and arms.

Stand a few feet behind the ball and locate where you're going to send it prior to addressing it. Then you need to take the wind speed and other factors into consideration. You can improve your direction and alignment by taking this brief period of time to analyze and visualize your shot. When it is time to actually take your shot, you will achieve much better accuracy.

Place your left hand ahead when you address the ball while putting. You also want to do your best to maintain this position and form while you swing your club. This will minimize the chance the ball will skip off the face of your club at impact, and makes it easier to maintain control of your stroke.

Beginners should pay careful attention to their tee height. Your drives won't be as good if the tee height isn't correct. The golf ball should be placed so that it is slightly higher than the center of the club face.

Don't purchase any new or used golf club until you are sure you will be absolutely comfortable with it, including any custom fittings, extended handles, or unique grips it may need. Everyone has different body types, heights, and strength. The club that works for one person may not work for another! Only a custom club is guaranteed to suit you and your style perfectly.

When purchasing your next set of golf clubs, you might want to check into custom-fitted ones based on your exact specifications. The right golf club needs to be suited to your weight, height, and body structure. Buying a golf club designed for your body type can dramatically improve your swing.

As you take your driving shot, your front heel should be in line with your ball. By contrast, when hitting from the fairway or the rough, the ball should be about midway between your two feet. The exception to this if you are playing your shot from a slope.

Tighten your grip to hit a fade. People underestimate the aspects of having a good grip with their golf swing. You can hit a fade or a draw no matter how strong your left hand is. Instructors will generally teach you to use a fade technique, and that works well if your left-handed swing is weak. However, there are other ways to hit the ball.

Take a small snack rich in proteins with you, such as nuts for instance. The game of golf is exhausting, both mentally and physically. You can get some extra protein from the snacks and you will be sharper and less tired throughout your golf game.

Before you hit your first shot, share with your golf buddies which ball you will be playing, including both the manufacturer and serial number of the ball.
