2016/7/20 16:13:45

Golf is often a sport associated with the fairer weather, not only is the rain and wind annoying but it can also radically change your shots and so when it is sunny and calm outside many golfers will flock to their local golf course and get a round of golf in. A lot of golfers take golfing holidays abroad to get the perfect conditions and a stunning backdrop but here in the UK as long as we have the decent weather then it can be just as pleasant to play golf here in the United Kingdom instead.

Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire
The Sherwood Forest course is a highly regarded golf course in England with it having the honour amongst golfers as being the best heathland courses in all of Britain. With the trees in full bloom and a tough par 70 course that contains four par fours in a row that are among the longest and certainly the toughest in the UK it is a welcome challenge for most golfers and will no doubt be very popular this summer.

The Vale Resort, Vale of Glamorgan
The Vale of Glamorgan is home to a wide expanse of countryside that makes it perfect for golf conditions, among the courses dotted around the Vale of Glamorgan the Vale Resort is undoubtedly the best, a part of a resort where you could make a holiday of your golfing trip the Vale Resorts is set in the grounds of the Hensol Castle and is the highest rated 4 star hotel in all of Wales too.

Gleneagles, Perthshire
Gleneagles’ Kings Course is a course that is well known the world over and has been around for just over 91 years having been first opened in 1919. The Kings Course is now one of the best moorland golf courses available in the UK and with the idyllic surrounding of the Perthshire Hills and the course doesn’t even look unnatural as the course blends in perfectly with the landscape creating a much more natural and still challenging course for you to play on.

These are just three examples of great golf courses here in England, Scotland and Wales for you to choose from this summer. These are certainly not the only courses available to select as there are literally hundreds of courses up and down the country. So if you want to enjoy golf in the sun make the most of the good weather we’re currently having and play golf here in the UK to enjoy the challenge and natural beauty of the British countryside.
