1. Remove the magazine. Ensure the pistol is unloaded by removing the magazine from the pistol's grip.
2. Lock the slide back. Pull back the slide until the slide lock engages.
3. Depress the slide lock lever. This will allow you to remove the slide from the frame.
4. Push the barrel forward and remove it from the slide.
5. Remove the recoil spring and guide rod.
6. Remove the firing pin assembly from the slide.
7. Remove the extractor from the slide.
8. Remove the ejector from the frame.
9. Remove the trigger assembly from the frame.
10. Remove the grip panels from the frame.
11. Remove the mainspring and hammer assembly from the frame.
12. Remove the hammer strut and trigger bar from the frame.
13. Reassemble the pistol in the reverse order of disassembly.
When reassembling the pistol, be sure to:
- Properly align the slide with the frame.
- Insert the recoil spring and guide rod correctly.
- Check that the slide lock lever is engaged.
- Test the safety features to ensure they are functioning properly.
