Naples, FL - Joseph Agiato, a retired business owner and former police officer, recently scored a hole-in-one with a driver on the 148 yard on hole number 16 at Cypress Woods Country Club in Naples, Florida.
This marks the third hole-in-one for Joseph Agiato since 2009. Prior to his most recent hole-in-one, Joseph Agiato had already scored two, one on April 4, 2011 with an 8-iron on the 79-yard at hole number 12 at Cypress Woods and another, his first, on May 28, 2009 with an 8-iron on the 80 yard at hole number 12 at Cypress Woods.
Cypress Woods Country Club is a challenging par -72 championship course, located in the Pine Ridge Region in North Naples. Joseph Agiato has been golfing at Cypress Woods for a number of years. The location of Joseph Agiato's most recent hole-in-one at Cypress Woods was on hole number 16, a par -3, described as scenic and challenging. Hole 16 is located 195 yards from the back tees and 110 yards from the front. Joseph Agiato successfully shot a hole-in-one using a driver on the 148 yard of hole number 16, an astonishing achievement witnessed by fellow golfers, Bob Hamilton, Al Altier and Richard Koecher.
In the world of golf, a hole-in-one, also referred to as an ace, is when a golfer hits the ball directly from the tee into the cup and are extremely rare; Joseph Agiato has already achieved this rare accomplishment three times in the past two years. When a golfer is able to achieve a hole in one it is largely dependent on the skill set of the golfer and is typically involves a combination of luck and skill.
