Biomechanics of a Golf Swing - Developing the Perfect Golf Swing

The biomechanics of a golf swing has become a very popular topic lately. Several books have been written about it. They break down the golf swing step by step into agonizing details. If you ever have trouble sleeping at night, just open up one of these books and you will be counting sheep in no time! :)

The fact that you are reading this tells me that there is a problem with your swing that you are looking to correct. Figuring out the problem within your swing mechanics is not always an easy thing to do. There could be several problem areas depending on whether you slice the ball, have a hook, or top the ball. All of these things can add a lot of strokes to your golf game. Luckily, I am here to help you with this.

The Problem With Most Biomechanic Golf Swing Books

The majority of the golf swing books on the market have the same problem in common. They usually take a professional golf swing, such as Tiger Woods' swing, and break it down step by step. So, what is wrong with that? Tiger is a great golfer, why shouldn't we study his golf swing?

The problem with studying Tiger's golf swing is that no matter how much you and I study it, we will NEVER be able to swing the club like Tiger. That's probably not what you want to hear, but it is true. Just read Tiger's book "How I Play Golf and you will quickly notice that he focuses on proper course management and trouble shots rather than the mechanics of his swing. Tiger does this because he knows that breaking down his perfect swing step by step will not improve the golf game of the average golfer. The average golfer, like you and me, cannot copy it.

The Biomechanics of a Golf Swing:

Now that we agree that we will never have a golf swing like Tiger's Woods, What are our options? Do we have to continue to slice, hook and top the ball and never achieve the scores we want? Absolutely not!! There is a better solution. Rather than making it really technical and difficult to understand, your swing biomechanics need to be simple and easy to perform. If there are just a few common positions within your golf swing that you can CONSISTENTLY develop, you will improve your golf game very quickly. Your shots will be straighter and have more distance.

What we need to to create a simple golf swing. A swing that we can perform automatically without much effort. We don't want to over complicate things. The only areas we need to focus on are the setup, backswing, and impact. That's it! Nothing else.

The Simple Golf Swing breaks this process down into 5 steps to focus on. Each step is a building block onto the next. The system is easy to learn and it will have you hitting the ball straighter and farther than you ever have. I know, because I have used it myself and gotten great results.
