Golfers that take advantage of digital scoring only have to set their preferences and par for a customized handicap setting. After a shot is made, golfers can press a single button and the device will display exactly how far the ball traveled. This proves useful when experimenting with a variety of clubs.

Not only does the Skycaddie SG5 follow the golfer in terms of location, but it guides the golfer through the entire game, recording all statistics for easy review at any time. Because the device relies on downloaded maps of the courses, the Skycaddie should have no problems.

Another feature that is currently undergoing beta testing is the HoleVue technology. This technology strives to be as accurate as possible in going through the whole course instead of depending on satellite imagery. The technology used in this device should be enough to convince golfers to plan better and lower their score by using the interface. However, there are other items included in the package like an LCD protector, car charger, and travel case that make the price tag even more reasonable.
