Golf - Are Players Stupid?

The Game of Golf - Why is Golf so unique? Of all the sports activities performed around the world, the games associated with Golf and the Golfer have to be one in a zillion. Before I go onto explain why Golf players differ so much, you must know the main explanations why the masses give up their chosen activity.

Grow older - First and foremost grow older inevitably becomes a huge deciding factor the reason why so many are forced to quit their chosen game, unfortunately time waits for no man, Mother Nature takes no criminals.

Time -The next time, in this hectic day and age with work, family and friend responsibilities it simply becomes too hard to manage, the time component also comes as a bi-product of age, sometimes handily assisting all of us to convince yourself it wasn't the decision to quit, it's been taken out of the hands, when in reality and if you are being completely honest with yourself it is no longer important.

Skill - Finally skill, let's face it, we human beings aren't silly? Are we? We all tend to steer clear of what where bad at and sport is no different! Why pursue an activity any longer compared to you have to if you are completely useless from it?

So what can make Golf players so various? Are we Stupid? Well, this is when all of the rules are tossed out of the eye-port and where Golfers come into their very own. I've played Golfing for many years now and it's the only game which disregards all of the previously mentioned. I've seen people in their 80's barely able to stroll still chasing an ideal round, buggy assisted mind, but never the less nevertheless at it. It takes approx 4 hours to play eighteen holes, God willing, combine this with the travel and a fast look at the 19th before the wife finds out, then that's a day away! Finally, ability, this is where the real art we golfers have really come into play, the ability to perform or should I say hack our way around the course, year in, year out without having any substantial improvement, often even getting worse? Braving the sun and rain being out in all weather conditions! To add to the mix, we literally invest 1000s of dollars on accessories, clothes and Green fees. Golf players most certainly not in favor of the grain, breaking all the guidelines, so does which make us stupid? Well, I'll leave that to you to decide for yourself. Welcome to the game of Golf!
