TaylorMade R9 Max Driver vs Taylormade R9 Driver
Here are two kinds of taylormade golf clubs. Let me tell you some details.
The taylorMade r9 max driver Japan Model is a Japan only product designed for increased distance; it features an overall lighter weight, low deeper center of gravity design and a 45.75" length. The combo of these assets creates a club that is easier to hit and produce a faster swing speed with more carry and distance.
Those of us who have tried the current Taylormade R9 on the market it just isn't the longest and compared to the previous Taylormade driver models in some cases has been noted to be shorter. We all know the best thing about the R9 is how adjustable it is and in many cases by adjusting to your specs creates more distance but for the golfer who has his/her swing in tune the carry is a bit lacking to some.
Of course this driver still features the same FCT setup that the R9 is so famous for, this is simply a package for golfers who have less ego and want more pop to their driver. And it has a larger, more triangular high MOI shaped head for easy launch and maximum performance.
I doubt the note of currency depicting the Scottish political philosopher Adam Smith that I handed over to reflect my gratitude came anywhere close but I consoled myself with the view that it's the thought that counts.
However, how to adjust the taylormade r9 driver to the club head with a specially made bolt in the bottom of the club head. The FCT bolt is designed to be retained in the well to eliminate the chance of losing it.
The R9 includes one 16-gram and two 1-gram changeable weights. This allows you to change the clubs center of gravity location to affect side-to-side flight by up to 35 yards. Put the heavy weight in the heel port to promote a draw, in the toe port to promote a fade, and in the middle port to promote a straight flight.
At the bottom of the sleeve is a ring of small, gear like teeth, which tightly mesh with a second ring of matching teeth within the hosel. You can change the club head's characteristics (face angle, loft, lie) by loosening the FCT bolt, removing the shaft from the head, rotating the sleeve and shaft into a specified position, then locking them into that position within the head with the FCT bolt.
I have to admit, I really like these two drivers. They wouldn't like some of the clevelands I used to own. They are fairly forgiving not super forgiving and the feeling is good.
