These days I was alternating between cheap Ping K15 Driver and a Razr X Black and decided to try the X Hot. This club is so light you won't believe it. It has a terrific "feel" when you hit the ball. For a golfer like me, the X-hot definately seems more forgiving ecpecially when the club is set to the draw position. I have a natural slice so the draw face turns a slice into a fade and a fade into a straight shot. I am also able to generate good distance with this club which is about the same as I hit the G20 when I hit it well. I'm definatley more consistant whith this driver.
Callaway has implemented its thinnest casting technology ever in the all-titanium head to create a lighter swing weight and overall configuration, a combination that benefits most players in terms of head speed and distance, especially golfers with an average swing speed.
The design of the X-Hot is another clean and classic styled driver from the people at Callaway. The head is a 460cc head (440cc for the Pro) with a matte gunmetal gray finish and a classic pear shape. Unlike the RAZR the X-Hot does have and alinement aid, albeit a single small chevron (the Pro does not). They did add a little color to the rear edge of the crown in the form of small black, read and gray graphics. While Callaway was very classic with the design of the crown they took a little artistic liberty when it came to the sole of the club. The sole was giving red and white accents on the left and right which actually tie in well with the finish on the head as well as the shaft choice. Over all it is a sharp looking driver.
Thin casting technology to the golfer is the inclusion of Draw Bias Progression, which changes the amount of draw bias depending on the loft, allowing golfers to better control sidespin and tune their shot shape. Players with higher lofts can take advantage of higher draw bias for straighter shots, while players with lower lofts can utilise a more neutral CG that fits their game.
A tighter curvature face on the Callaway X Hot Driveroffers a look at address preferred by better players, along with consistent sidespin and dispersion to promote accuracy. A lighter configuration, optimized CG and larger sweet spot help to maximize length, and the OptiFit Hosel lets golfers set the speed frame face to fine tune their trajectory off the tee.
Callaway employed its powerfully fast Speed Frame Face Technology that increases ball speed, saves weight and optimises stiffness and stress distribution across the face for more efficient energy transfer. The new face technology promotes more consistent distance, even on off-centre impact.
Overall, great feel on the all titanium head, incredible ballspeeds, Low spin, and really a point and shoot driver once you put the right shaft and the right setting in place. They feel is wonderful than my prior Ping G20 Driver and the light weight manufacturer is the ability to hit the ball farther with less effort. I would definitely order this product again for the experience or the beginning golfer.
