That great round is complete at your bucket list golf course destination. You and your mates are enjoying the regailing portion of your day at the 19th hole. For many of us, this might be the best part of our golf games.
After a couple of libations (and by the way, put a "Transfusion" or your list of cocktails to have at the course), it's time to settle up with the bar tab.
Next time, try this fun strategy game to settle the tab. It's called Threesies in some circles, or Spoof in others. It's simple, easy and can require some strategy to master.
You are going to need at least 2 players, obviously, and 3 coins per player. Coin denomination doesnt matter, and you could even substitute ball markers for coins. If you have 4-8 players, that is just about perfect.
So, what's the object? To avoid being the last player, or the single loser. You want to get eliminated from the game, and thus the tab. That single loser gets saddled with the tab, or maybe the next round.
Each player puts their hands behind their back, and brings up one clenched hand, which contains either 0, 1, 2 or 3 coins. Each player is free to secretly choose how many coins they hold.
Randomly choose which player goes first. Now that player has to guess how many coins are contained in all of the hands (4 players means the possible number is between 0 and 12). From there, every player makes a guess, but no two players can guess the same number.
After all the guesses, players open their hands to reveal their coins and the total number is counted. If a player guesses correctly, they are eliminated from the game, which means they are safe from paying the tab. If nobody has guessed correctly then all players remain in the game.
The next round then continues, with player to the right of the first guesser in the last round going first. The game continues as players drop out until a final head-to-head with just 2 players. Once the final loser has been established, it's time to pay.
You can always find ways to have a little fun both on and off the course. Be sure to sharey our favorites. Want some more ideas both on or off the course, or have some to share? Visit http://www.bucketlistgolftour.com and tell us all about it. Have fun and play well!
