Are you sick of feeling like you need to spend $50 to a few hundred dollars on golf swing teaching aids to help you become a better golfer? These are not all just gimmicks because some of them really work very well, but a lot of them are very expensive and unnecessary. Here is a list of golf swing teaching aids you can get for under $25.
- A shoebox - This one is pretty much free and is great. You want to set it outside the ball about a half inch to an inch and swing while it is there. This will help you get an inside-square-inside path with your swing.
- Fiberglass reflector sticks for around your mailbox - These are just long, straight pieces of fiberglass that you can use to align yourself when you swing and many of other things. These are about $3 each and can be found in the mailbox isle at any hardware store.
- A Basketball - This can be just a cheap $5 basketball and it can be used to teach yourself how to keep your legs more still when you swing. Just hold it between your knees while you swing.
- A Chalkline and 2 foot 2 by 4 - This is a great putting set up because you can use the chalkline to get yourself a straight line to the hole and you can use the 2 by 4 to help keep your putter straight. You can also use the 2 by 4 for a drill called bunker boards that helps teach you how to keep your bunker divots shallow.
- A Swing Guide - This is an actual product that will cost you around $25, but it is fantastic. This will help you get the correct left wrist position on the top of your swing so that you can come down correctly with your swing. There are many golfers that swear by this golf swing teaching aid and will use it constantly.
