Bretwood Golf Course: This 36 holes golf course is open for common public. This golf club has two vibrant eighteen holes courses. The course at the Northern side has an island green of 145 yards expanse on hole no.13. There are wide fairways with rows of majestic trees in either side. This North Course has been rated as the 4th Best Public Golf Course in New Hampshire by "Golf Digest", for the year 1996. While for the same year, the South Course got the 10th Best Position. Also, for 1995-96 and for 1997-98, the North Course had been voted as the 4th Best and the 8th Best respectively. The South Course has narrow fairways but greens are quite expansive.
Portsmouth Country Club: This 18 holes golf course is of semi-private nature. Here, golf can be played in the similar manner that one plays in Scottish-links course. There are wide fairways, and on five holes, water hazards come into play. For most of these holes, a tee shot from out of a chute is often played well.
