How to Putt Better

You just hit 2 nice shots into the green and you end the hole with a bogey. Putting looks very simple but in reality is very hard. I’m going to show you how to putt better.

Putting is very important in golf because you can win or lose in the green. If you putt well your scores will be less and you will have more fun.

A lot of golfers don’t putt well because they do not practice putting. When an amateur goes to the practice range he spends 1 hour hitting shot and 10 or 5 minutes putting.

This also happens before the round they just hit shots and they putt for 5 minutes. Sometimes the putting green is alone with no one practicing and the range is full.

Look at the pros it is the opposite they practice 1 hour putting and then they hit some shots in the practice range.

There are some things you need to do to putt better. And im going to show you how to putt.

Drills

Drills are very important, they will help you improve a lot because they provide pressure and they are fun to do.

The next drills are very important because you will gain a lot of confidence and the drills involve pressure so you will have the same feeling as you would do in the course.

The door drill: You can use this drill for short and long putts. Place a ball infront of the hole, then place 2 tees so they form a door.

putt your ball throughout the door and inside the hole. Try to make as much putts as you can. After this drill you are now staring your putt in line. You will improve a lot by using this drill

The ladder drill: The ladder drill is a good drill, first place 4 ball in order creating a line but with different distance. Do this from all four directions of the hole.

Set up this drill with different breaks

you will have 16 putts, try to make all of them, if you fail to make one start over.

Par 36 drill: Play 18 holes of putting in the course or in the putting green chose short, medium and long putts with different breaks. Your goal is to try to make less than 36 putts. A pro golfer average is 30 or less putts, try to beat that.

If you follow these drills If you follow these drills you will putt excellent and very well, your playing partners will be shocked of how well is your putting.
