Golf betting offers punters large odds when backing on outright tournament winners. Recent Major Champions, Angel Cabrera and Zach Johnson both began the tournaments they were later to win at odds of 100-1 or greater. The odds are long as the returns for the bookmaker are so high plus the dominance of Tiger Woods who starts every tournament as the favourite to win, meaning other golfers have their prices pushed out.
Masters
The Masters is the first major tournament played each year in April, at the Augusta National Golf Club. The Masters is the only Major to be played at the same course year-in year-out and had been dominated by Americans in recent years. Cabrera won the crown in 2009 following a three-man playoff and despite a last day charge from Phil Mickelson.
US Open
The US Open is known as one of the toughest events on the sporting calendar. The US Open tournament is played each year in June and you can bet throughout the tournament on the following markets: Outright Betting (bet on the overall tournament winner), Head-to-Head Betting, Live 'In Running' Betting and Exotic Betting.
British Open
The British Open or The Open is the oldest of the Major tournaments dating back to 1860. The British Open is played each year in July predominantly on links courses - made all the harder as they are often exposed to the elements.
US Open
The US Open is known as one of the toughest events on the sporting calendar. The US Open tournament is played each year in June.
US PGA Championship
The US PGA is the final major tournament played each year. It began in 1916 and is played every year in August. While it is seen as the weakest Major of the four it is still a Major championship and has boasted many big-name winners over the tournament's history
