Ways to Improve Your Golf Swings By Performing Drills

2016/7/19 16:27:55

I just wanted to explain a few of the best drills that you can use in order to perfect your golf swing. The type of golf drills that I approve of are the ones that do not force you to use a golf club right away. It's best to be able to focus in on what your body is doing during the golf swing.

One drill that is powerful is performed without the use of a golf club. First of all, stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Then imagine that you are swinging your golf club by taking a practice swing. Make sure that the palms of your hands stand together throughout this swing. Plus, keep the space between your elbows the same.

A drill that is used by many pro golfers is called the inner circle drill. All that you have to do is to practice swinging your arms within the inner circle of the golf swing. You will notice that your arms are going to move forming an arc through the impact zone. Now that you understand the principle, when you perform your actual golf swing, just ensure that you keep the the club within this arc.

A great golf swing drill is to use only one arm during your golf swing. For instance, if you are a right-handed golfer, you would use your your left arm during this drill. By doing this, you are going to ensure that you have a natural flowing golf swing. It's not going to be hindered by the opposite arm.

A strong golf drill is one that improves your ability to pitch or to chip the golf ball that is close to the hole. Many players focus in on only their drives when practicing. I feel that the short game is hugely important. Try hitting about 5 balls to the hole from about 50 yards away. If you are able to get at least three of them without a foot of the hole, move forward to the following hole.

A drill that forces you not to hit down on the golf ball is the drag drill. What is involved is to drag the clubhead of the golf club through the point of impact of the golf ball. You just have to make sure that you are turning your hips so that your belt buckle is pointing towards the target area. This drill is crucial since it is what is going to force you to focus on the target area by pushing the ball towards it.

To make it easier for you to develop a consistent swing in golf, I recommend that you practice often the following golf drill. Instead of trying to speed up your golf swing, slow it down and count to three slowly between the different phrases of the swing. For instance, at the count of one, you should be performing your backswing. This drill for golfers will help you to realize that a golf swing has different parts to it. This knowledge will allow you to repeat each separate section of your swing which will cause it to become more consistent.
