Then in 1911, Australia followed suit with the Professional Golfers' Association of Australia. As far as the United States went, we started to saw professional golf tours arise somewhere in the 1920's. We didn't see women actively playing the game openly right until somewhere following World War II. So where specifically golf was developed is still a controversial dilemma.
