There is no question that a bad swing is the primary cause why plenty of golfers can't go below a specific number in their handicap score. If a golfer, male or female, wishes to progress down that handicap scale and start winning some games then there is no option but to figure out how to swing their clubs correctly.
I will not go into the details of setting oneself up to address the ball, I will assume you can do that. So lets get right into it now and start on the road to winning.
The expression, in safe hands could not be more appropriate than in golf. If a golfer has a bad grip on the club then this is the first part that should be fixed. The club must be held firmly but flexible. The way your fingers are set on the grip is not that relevant, because a lot of golfers have their own unique grip. You must develop a routine to cope with long shots and short shots.
For instance for long drives you should be holding the driver with your hands just a bare inch or two from the top of the club. For short iron shots you ought to come down a little further to provide more of a punch to the golf ball. Accuracy is most important for obvious reasons.
There is no compensation in golf for short drives off the tee box, unless of course you are taking on a par three. Obviously,The shorter you drive your shot on the par fours, and par fives the more shots you must take to get onto the green. This can be demoralising.
To minimize handicap scores and begin winning you need to land on that green in the least shots possible. To follow instructions for learning the correct golf swing to give you more distance is imperative. There is no chance you can be a consistent long driving golfer if you do not practice what you have been told by the professional coach, or have read from your E Book.
There has never been a short cut invented, or designed for any sport including golf. It is an unforgiving game and if you do not practice with regularity then you are not going to drop your handicap. You must Learn your drills, and your routines. Practice as much as you possibly can and you'll certainly be surprised by how much your game improves.
