Learn Your Golf Swing On The Putt-putt Course

Many people that don't play regular golf think they can't play miniature golf (also known as putt-putt golf). Little do they know that miniature golf is much easier to learn and play than regular golf. Many people find miniature golf a lot more fun and challenging than regular golf, especiall the putting. If you have trouble finding miniature golf courses, you can search online for a miniature golf course near you. Most towns today have a putt-putt course.

Miniature golf is an activity that the entire family can enjoy and learn at a young age. It may take a bit to convince the avid golfers in your family to forget about the large golf course and put their golf swing skills to the test on a putt-putt course. Putt-putt golfing is an activity that even the smallest member of the family will enjoy. Each hole is set in a small area where it is easier to get the ball in the hole quicker than a large golf course, where you may have difficulty hitting the ball that far.

Yet, for adults, miniature golf is challenging as well. You may think that miniature golf courses lack the adventurous hazards you see on real golf courses. This is definitely not the case. You will find large alligators with their mouths open just waiting for a ball to land there. Water holes and water fountains are also part of the putt-putt course. Imagine your child's face when his ball goes in the water hole and he has to face a little goldfish as he fishes his ball out! The look of joy and amazement on their face makes every day on the putt-putt course worthwhile.

A lot of credit should go to the owners of these great miniature golf courses. Getting them going and running can not be cheap. Keeping them going is expensive with their exorbitant electric bills to keep all the activities going (waterfalls, electronic snakes, whales, alligators, etc). Just because they are smaller than a regular golf course doesn't mean it is less expensive than a regular golf course.

A serious golfer, as many adults are, may not fully realize and understand the fun he and his friends can have on a miniature golf course. It is a completely different skill. Suddenly they will discover that their ability to drive a ball 300 yards really won't mean a thing on the putt-putt course. They will learn an entirely new skill-or watch their 5-year old beat them at their own game!!

Whether it's for a Sunday afternoon of fun for the entire family or a great birthday activity, mini-golf is a very inexpensive way to spend the day with the kids. After the miniature golfing is over, most courses offer video games, beverages and snacks as well. There is enough there to make an afternoon complete and lots of fun for everyone.
