How To Build A Golfers Man Cave

The man cave is defined as the last, real male sanctuary in the modern world. It isn't an actual chasm in the side of a mountain. The term man cave is a metaphor for the last bastion of manliness. The man cave is typically a garage, a basement or a spare bedroom that is left without an elegant female touch. Who needs that when you can have posters of scantily clad women, or perhaps the portrait of dogs playing poker?
Aside from posters of scantily clad women or the portrait of dogs playing poker, everything inside a man room has utility. There is very little stuff deemed decoration. The TV serves as entertainment. The video games are a mind challenge. The pool table is a war zone. And the electric guitar is a lurking symbol of fading rock star aspirations.
Years ago, the man cave was once a safe haven just the rich businessman could afford. However, in these cost-effective times, even the everyman can getaway into his man room. The beauty of the man room is the ability to customize it to the things that matter to you.
For a gambling fiend, his man room may be equipped with a billiard table and a poker table. A sports fan may have a foosball table and a huge television to watch the game every weekend A rabid golfer's cave may look something such as this...
Every man room has an object that ties the whole room together. It's the centerpiece. Centerpieces include workout benches, ping-pong tables, etc. For a golfer, a virtual golf simulator is the icon of the room. It's the pride-and-joy of the man cave.
Guys gather around for pleasant competition with most of these centerpieces. Competitive golfers can take part in a series of contests with a golf simulator. One in particular may be the longest drive, a competition of who can smash the ball the farthest which appeals to a man's dimwitted, Neanderthal ego.
However, these silly contests can easily be as sophisticated as an 18-hole round of golf. These rounds can also take place at some of the most refined and classy courses on the planet, including St. Andrews and Augusta. A man cave should always have an element of sophistication, like a good cigar, to counter the steady low-brow state of affairs.
The man cave also holds complementary items. A man will need other conquests to satisfy his self esteem. Perhaps alongside the pin-ball machine stands a Pac-man game, and beside the golf simulator may sit a practice putting green.
For a golfer, putting is a key factor to his golf performance and should be relentlessly practiced, making a practice putting green an ideal piece to the man cave puzzle. The routine of repeated putting can put an aggravated man at ease, like slowly rocking a cradle to calm a screaming baby. It's a distraction to help a golfer develop a more zen-like approach to his putting game.
In all, the valuables in a man room shouldn't end as quickly as this article. Since there is no sensible design or dogma to a man room, the refuge needs no theme or blueprint. As stated earlier, the man room is only obligated to the delights of its owner. The man room is boundless.
