Over a month away, Masters Tickets for 2011's elite golf tournament are beginning to show signs of an early sell-out as fans anticipate an eventful match. The competition is set to take place April 7-10 along the exquisite terrain of Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. This year will mark the 75th Masters Tournament, gathering together the world's best golfers onto one course in hopes of shouldering the ultimate prize: The Green Jacket.
The Masters, or sometimes referred to as The U.S. Master, is one of four major golf championship tournaments. Founded by Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones, The Masters provides an intensive, competitive environment for professionals to display their golf skills. The tournaments was first established in 1940, making it one the oldest professional golf competitions still in existence. However, although it's from an earlier generation, the tournament remains to be one of the most difficult competitions played.
The Masters Championship is an official money event on the PGA Tour, The Japan Golf Tour, as well as the European Tour-just as the other three major championships are. Where the tournament happens to differ itself from the rest is due to its stagnant geographic location. The Masters is held at the same location each year, Augusta National Golf Club- as opposed to the remaining three major championships whom play on a different course annually.
Last year's tournament was a competitive spectacle of hole-in-ones and game clutch shots, however it was Phil Mickelson who recorded a three-shot victory over Lee Westwood to get the victory. This year's expectations are even more awaited as spectators look forward to seeing Mickelson try to maintain the throne while names such as Woods, Kim, and Westwood are in strong pursuit. So if you're in the mood for viewing some great rounds of golf, then contact travelmastersaugusta.com to reserve your 2011 master's tickets for this year's tournament.
