One of the most important parts of a golf cart or buggy is the seat. It truly needs special attention and care, as it is often exposed to different elements in storage or environment when moved out. This is irrespective of whether you have a single seat golf buggy or a cart with two or more seats. Proper care means more lasting capacity, which is not only applicable to an electrical appliance but also to your golf buggy seat. One of the ways to take care of your cart seat is to clean it at fixed intervals so that it keeps stains at bay. In case your seat or seats are composed from vinyl, it becomes easier to clean. On top of this if your seats have removable covers, cleaning is truly quick apart from being a more comfortable as well as effortless task.
Before you start cleaning, do collect the necessary items namely, cotton cloths, mild dish soap, half-gallon bucket, old toothbrush, and carpet and upholstery cleaner (optional). Now, start by removing the covers in case they are on your multiple or single seat golf buggy, add and mix four cups of lukewarm water in the bucket along with two teaspoons of mild dish soap, and dip one piece of cloth in the mixture. Squeeze the cloth and use it wipe the sides as well as top area of the seats. In the seams where cloth does not go, do the wiping by using an old toothbrush. Now, take another cloth, make it wet with only water, and rinse. Finally, use the third clean cloth to dry the seat.
Repeat the aforementioned steps for each seat in the buggy. In case of a removable seat cover, you will have to perform one more step. Herein, you now place the covers on the seats and clean them with the help of a carpet cleaner. All you have to do is apply a teaspoon of the cleaner to the cloth for scrubbing the blemishes in a circular motion. In case of synthetic leather covers, you will need to clean them in the same way as you cleansed the seats. Lastly, rinse the covers and allow them to dry. Just ensure that you use water optimally and not more than what you need because doing exactly the opposite can make the extra water seep inside the seats, resulting in mildew.
Cleaning in this way at regular intervals will simply increase the lifespan of your golf buggy seats!
