Where to Find the Best Golf Tips

Where do we, as struggling weekend amateurs, find the best golf tips? Of course we all have the playing partners who are never shy to lend advice when we are struggling, but we don't want to go down that road if we truly have a desire to improve our game, do we? What I'm saying is why would you listen to the advice of somebody who plays as bad or worse than you, even if the advice is well intentioned?
That leads us back to the original question, where do we find the best golf tips? There are dozens of answers to that simple question. There are fantastic programs on The Golf Channel if you have access to it. There are also short segments on the weekly network coverage of the professional tours that give great advice.
The major golf magazines have great tips and instruction segments in every issue. One magazine actually has a handy pocket card that you can tear out and take with you on the golf course. Many of these tips come from players on the professional tours.
Your local teaching professional has many tips that they are willing to share with an interested pupil. I know of some teaching professionals who actually have an introductory lesson, to give the potential pupil the opportunity to find out if a lesson package would contain the type of information they expect when they commit to a series of lessons.
There are thousands of books on the subject of golf that can help you find the answers to the questions you have. Some of the best books are from the old masters such as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead and Ben Hogan. Unfortunately many of these books are out of circulation, that doesn't mean you can't find them if you are searching diligently.
The Internet offers a treasure of golf tips and instruction. Once again knowing where to search and what specifically you are looking for is the key part of this puzzle when searching for the best golf tips.
Of all these potential answers of places to find the best golf tips, only one of them can we ask a specific question for a problem we are experiencing at that point in time. This is from our local teaching professional. For a variety of reasons for many people committing to a series of golf lessons just doesn't work out. The next best thing would be a book that offered a series of questions and answers that you could perhaps find the problem you are struggling with and zero in on it.
Golf is the greatest game in the world, in my opinion, and can be enjoyed by young and old alike. As in life itself the game of golf has us continually learning to deal with different situations every time we tee it up. We never satisfy our need to learn and new information is discovered everyday. Never stop learning and never stop enjoying golf!
