The Rapture V2 irons in my opinion have the largest sweet spot of any irons I have previously owned. The ball tracks straighter and the ball flight is higher, probably explaining the little bit of distance loss from my previous clubs. I've owned the TaylorMade SpeedBlade Irons and mizuno mp54 irons, these are by far more forgiving.

This set is made up of a tungsten sole weight, a titanium face and a stainless steel body. The lightweight titanium face allows weight to be relocated to the wider tungsten sole that positions the centre of gravity ideally for a higher launch angle and increased MOI.As a result the Ping Rapture V2 can incorporate stronger lofts to increase distance without sacrificing any control. Ping have also introduced a variable offset throughout the set and a deeper Custom Tuning Port on the back of the clubface increases face stability and gives a solid feel across the whole clubface.

All in all,the confidence I have when addressing the ball with these clubs is amazing. Everything about the clubs screams "clutch." They are definitely over-sized and have a dark grey finish not all that dissimilar from the color of the Black Pearl Cleveland wedges. The grooves are deep, the Ping AWT steel shafts are weighted nicely, and the tungsten in the sole of the clubs provides the perimeter weighting for an extremely forgiving response. I can't say I'm a great golfer but in one round I noticed a marked improvement in my ball-striking ability when compared with mizuno mp54 irons.
