The Spanish Best Golf Courses

Golf is one of the key factors that most influence all the travels made towards our country, in which there are some points that can be combined: the enjoyment of this sport and the tourist details that have the towns that host the best courses.

1. Valderrama (Cádiz) – considered as the Spanish best golf course, it is undoubtedly one of the classical courses of this sport in Spain. It was the scene of the first Ryder Cup celebrated outside British territory.

It is located in a luxury residential area in Sotogrande. It has a very complete tour in which every detail is especially cared. It is one of the golf courses with the best maintenance of the world. And this is why it is very hard to play there; it has a high demand.

1. El Saler (Valencia) – year after year it is chosen as one of the courses in the continental Europe zone, excluding the renowned courses in UK.

It is located in one of the most beautiful places of Spain, in the so-called "Parador de El Saler". Located within the Natural Park of La Albufera.

1. Mataleñas (Santander) – from two exclusive courses, we turn our sight to a public course with 9 holes.  Despite of having modest facilities, this course is located near the sea at just few meters from the Mataleñas' beach.

The golfer can enjoy the scenery while playing on the course; undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful corners of Cantabria.

1. La Herrería (Madrid) – it is one of the golf courses with a higher tradition in Spain. It is located in El Escorial, in the middle of the mountains. It is an emblematic place where the sight is spectacular.

Above all, this course is highly recommended because it offers the privilege to play with the monastery of El Escorial as a background.

1. Desert Springs (Almería) – It is located within a resort, that has the same name that one from Arizona. It resembles an American desert and it is fully decorated with cactus, pure American style.

It is the first European course with these characteristics; the norms from the USGA where even followed for the production of this course.

1. Pga Golf Cataluña (Girona) – it is located in Caldes de Malavella. This course is characterized for its huge difficulty due to the fact that it is full of trees and lakes that are great obstacles for golfers.
2. La Manga (Murcia) – with three courses of 18 holes each one and two hotels within the resort, it is an authentic paradise for the lovers of this sport. Many water obstacles, good distribution of bunkers and a high quantity of palm trees that give beauty to the place.
