At Ranger School, students are required to master a number of knots, including:

1. Figure Eight Knot: This is the most basic and versatile knot, and is used for securing a rope to a fixed point.

2. Square Knot: This knot is used to join two ropes together.

3. Slip Knot: This knot is used to make a temporary loop in a rope.

4. Clove Hitch: This knot is used to attach a rope to a post or pole.

5. Bowline Knot: This knot is used to make a secure loop in the end of a rope.

6. Taut-line Hitch: This knot is used to secure a tent or tarp to a pole or tree.

7. Prusik Knot: This knot is used to ascend or descend a rope, or to provide tension on a rope.

8. Fishermen's Bend: This knot is used to join two ropes of unequal diameter together.

9. Barrel Knot: This knot is used to shorten a rope without cutting it.

10. Double Fisherman's Knot: This knot is a more secure version of the Fishermen's Bend.
