Are the both Remington 870 express right hand and left models parts interchangeable?

Most of the parts are interchangeable between the right-hand and left-hand models of the Remington 870 Express. However, there are a few key differences to be aware of.

The most obvious difference is the receiver. The right-hand receiver has a cutout on the right side for the ejection port, while the left-hand receiver has a cutout on the left side. This means that the bolt, carrier, and ejector must be specific to the handedness of the receiver.

Another difference is the safety. The right-hand safety is located on the right side of the trigger guard, while the left-hand safety is located on the left side. This means that the safety selector must be specific to the handedness of the receiver.

Finally, the stock and forend must also be specific to the handedness of the receiver. The stock has a cutout for the ejection port on the right or left side, and the forend must be shaped to fit the stock.

With these few exceptions, most of the parts are interchangeable between the right-hand and left-hand models of the Remington 870 Express. This means that you can easily customize your shotgun to fit your needs, regardless of your handedness.
