* A feeler gauge
* A wrench
* A screwdriver
1. Remove the valve cover.
2. Locate the intake and exhaust valves. The intake valve is located on the left side of the engine, and the exhaust valve is located on the right side.
3. Insert the feeler gauge between the valve stem and the rocker arm. The feeler gauge should fit snugly between the two surfaces.
4. If the feeler gauge is too tight or too loose, turn the adjusting screw on the rocker arm until the feeler gauge fits snugly.
5. Tighten the lock nut on the adjusting screw.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the exhaust valve.
7. Replace the valve cover.
