1. Unload the firearm and make sure it is safe to handle.
2. Remove the barrel and forearm assembly from the receiver.
3. Using a small screwdriver or punch, depress the spring retainer on the underside of the receiver and slide it forward to remove it.
4. Insert the ejector spring into the recess in the underside of the receiver, and then slide the spring retainer back into place to secure it.
5. Reattach the barrel and forearm assembly to the receiver.
6. Test the function of the ejector to ensure that it is working properly.
Here are some additional tips for installing the ejector spring:
- Take your time and be careful not to lose any small parts.
- If you are having difficulty removing the old ejector spring, you can use a small pair of pliers to help you grasp it.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the ejector spring before installing it to help it move smoothly.
NOTE: If any component in your firearm seems faulty and/or you feel uncomfortable to complete any of the actions, please take your firearm to a professional gunsmith.
