Try this great winter groundbait!

THE larvae joker is a great bait for attracting perch and roach during the winter, and it isn’t as expensive as you might think.

Here’s how to prepare a great groundbait that incorporates this excellent winter bait.

1 A basic groundbait mix for winter roach and perch fishing is three litres of Sensas Terre de Somme and 0.5 litres of Grey Leam. Then add 100 ml of water and whisk. The consistency is correct when the mix starts to form tiny balls of leam. If you add too much water the mix goes into a sticky mess.

2 To the leam add 250 ml of joker and 150 ml of casters by hand.

3 This amount of leam makes about 12 balls the size of a tangerine orange. Make the balls this size to ensure accuracy when feeding them in the swim.
