It can be a real pain, especially when you have to sit and wait for bites from bigger fish like bream while legering.
Here’s a great one from Brian Gay, one of Angler’s Mail magazine’s Where to Fish experts….
The answer is to hair rig the worm!
To attach it start with a hair rig with a small pellet band in a loop at the end.
Then thread a large section of dendrobaena worm onto a long baiting needle, tail first.
Next, stretch the band with the baiting needle and slide the worm onto the hair.
When you let go of the worm the band shoots back inside of the worm and prevents it coming off the hook.
