The walleye in Missouri will begin to spawn in the spring where they will seek out shoals near the deep water with clean bottoms and shallow bars. Whenever it's possible they will try to migrate to the cooler waters of the feeder streams.

Start out fishing in the shallows and move outward to the moderate depths during this season. You can also search around structures, points, ledges and submerged humps where they can nest and begin spawning.
