3 Bass Fishing Secrets For Taking The Advantage

Everyone is looking for a distinct advantage when it comes to catching bass, and narrowing things down to 3 Bass fishing secrets for taking the advantage could be a challenge for anyone. I suspect the three I choose will not be the three you would choose, and could be hotly debated. The following is, however, the best I can come up with when it comes to choosing three bass fishing secrets for taking the advantage when it comes to catching bass.

Probably the single best advantage you can get when it comes to taking the advantage in catching bass, takes place nowhere near the water, but is never the less, a very important aspect of taking the advantage as an angler. That secret is really no secret at all, and is one you are doing even as you read this answer. In my opinion, the most important advantage when it comes to taking the advantage as a bass angler, is doing your homework.

Researching and gaining knowledge, is the key to learning what you need to know to put your knowledge to work and catch bass. Now, there are various ways you can learn how to catch bass, and some of them are very simple. The key to learning how to bass fish, is what I call the 3 Ls. Look, listen, and learn. Watch other anglers. When you see someone catching bass after bass, it just stands to reason that you could catch bass too, if you were to do whatever it is that they are doing. Pay attention. Watch what they are doing, and see if you can imitate it.

This leads to the second L. Listen. Once you see something worth watching, don't just assume that you know and understand what it is they are doing. Talk to them. Successful anglers really are, by and large, quite willing and eager even, to share the secrets to their success. Most are willing to explain and expound on their techniques for success from simple technique to bait and equipment. If you are unlucky enough to run across one of the minority who does not want to share their knowledge, just move on to the next.

Finally, we come to the third L. Learn. When it comes to learning, you really are learning when you watch and listen to good advice, but you may also want to research to learn things it may not be so easy to see or ask other anglers. That is when good, old fashioned research can teach you what you need to know.

You can read books, look up articles in magazines, and look on the internet for sites that offer advice on a variety of topics from bait from live bait to spinners, pig and jig rigs, hard plastic and soft plastic baits, and various other baits, to gear such as anything from rods and reels, to hooks, weights, line, and accessories such as sunglasses, gloves, and necessities for cleaning your catch, and boats and boating accessories. You can literally learn everything except hands on experience from the comfort and convenience of your own home.
