What is a swordfishes life span?

The lifespan of a swordfish varies depending on the species. The broadbill swordfish (Xiphias gladius), which is the largest species of swordfish, is estimated to have a lifespan of around 15 years. Other swordfish species, such as the shortbill swordfish (Xiphias brevirostris) and the longbill swordfish (Xiphias ensis), are believed to have lifespans of around 10 years.
