Blocking rain from entering rifle barrel while hunting?

Barrel sock: Barrel socks and covers that are both elasticated over the crown and muzzle of the barrel are specifically made to seal out moisture. They are often waterproof and insulated to keep the barrel from getting too cold, reducing the occurrence of condensation and frost.

Hand Covers: Pull your hand under the barrel at any time to add a layer of warmth and dry covering to the barrel. To keep your hands dry, avoid handling your firearm with gloves on while in the rain because that can transfer rain down the barrel.

Rain Gear: Wear proper rain gear, such as a hunting jacket with a waterproof hood that shields the barrel from rainfall from above. Your weapon will benefit from the increased protection this provides to the shooter and their equipment.
