What does a harpoon look like?

There are two main types of harpoons:

* Double-ender harpoons: These have a barbed tip at one end and a rope attached to the other end. The rope is used to pull the harpoon and the catch back to the boat.

* Toggle harpoons: These have a barbed tip that opens up when it enters the animal's flesh, making it difficult for the animal to escape.

Harpoons can be thrown by hand or fired from a harpoon gun. Harpoon guns are typically mounted on boats, but can also be handheld.
