Can a blue tangs eat clown fish?

Yes, Blue Tangs have been known to eat clownfish in the wild and aquarium environment. This behavior varies on species of clownfish they attack. They prey on smaller prey that is readily available like small crustaceans that clownfish usually feed on as well. It has also been noticed they prey more so on damselfish that clownfish tend to cohabitate with and also are known to pick at coral formations.
