Well with so many different kind of species from a Smallmouth Bass busting top water. Trolling for Pike with crank baits. To Lake Trout with tube jigs. For myself I would still have to say chasing Walleye gets my blood pumping. There is nothing like seeing a big Walleye coming to the surface of the water shaking its' head. The power of their runs back to the bottom. I enjoy chasing them In lakes ,rivers and reservoirs. The challenge of finding them in the different seasons and weather conditions keeps me hungry in finding them. From weeds, deep or suspending, they offer different challenges in finding where they maybe hiding. You can troll cranks or cast cranks shallow or deep. Cast jigs or drag them. You can pull spinner rigs on bottom bouncers or on three way rigs. You can even troll spinner rigs with snap weights over deep water or with split shots in shallow water. You can pull live bait rigs either with walking sinkers (Lindy Rigs) with bottom bouncers or on three way rigs. Most people forget using their anchors but you can use slip bobbers in shallow water, deep water or even set them at any depth you are marking fish suspending over deep water. It is always a challenge in find them and when you think you figured them out one day, well tomorrow is another story. But trust me when you do figure out the pattern for that day you can move to a different part of the lake and look for the same structure, depth and catch some more. When all the pieces come together, hold on tight and enjoy the day.
