Personal Record

                                Although i have been fishing since when i was 8 years old,tilll now there has been many good and bad fishing seasons, but best season was 2009. In that season i had a verygood fishing record,and now i am going to share it with you.

In 2009, me my uncle and some friends started fishing in the first week of October. We were going to start fishing in the mid of October but the weather didn't allowed us to do so. We went to the river found a nice spot & started casting.

We went to the river Jehlum, in the state of Punjab, the spot at which we were fishing was 25 meters away from the river bank, so we started casting and about 15 minutes i caught the first fish of the season, it was about 750 gram's. And till 5 am in the morning, after all nights hard work i had about 35 kilo's of fish. The spot on which i  was fishing was about 15 feet deep.

Fishing is all about finding the right spot, mainly it depends on what kind of fishing you are doing, either it is Masher, Carp, Trout or Bass. In Carp the main thing is about finding the right spot, fish food that you are using and more importantly the waters depth , if you are fishing in open water's. In October & November you can catch Carp in 6 to 15 feet deep water's. But in December & January we have to find more deep water, perhaps the home or resting place of fish in order to catch big one's.

Mainly, i use 12 lbs mono line for casting and if you got experience then you can take out  12 kg fish from 12lbs line.

O i forgot to tell you guys about the bait i use to catch fish, mainly i use/prefer live worms, ones with radium in them radium helps fishing at night time. But i often use Boilies if i know that there are common carps in the area, common carps loves Boilies, and i love common carps especially large ones.

On river Jehlum there is a small Barrage, so they have to give water to the river to supply it to the canal's, because October and November is the season of cultivating Wheat, so the river water mostly remains disturbed resulting in lots of root's and grass coming up with the hooks thus hiding the bait.
