Kingfisher Boats: Awesome! August 28th 2012 Kenora Ont
Kingfisher boating: Awesome!
I had the opportunity to go walleye fishing on a new product boat line of the 19 foot Kingfisher 2025 Accord Sport. This boat is equipped with a Yamaha 250hp, purring like a kitten and gets us from point A to B in no time flat. Impressively, this Kingfisher boat glides over the water even in rough currents and large waves still in full control. Its ability/agility for sharp turns at a moment?s notice was a bonus as there are many reefs, rocks and outcrops on this lake.
Now I?ve been on a 16 foot Lund boat powered by a 115hp engine with a very inexperienced driver, in a full wind storm over Lake of the Woods with 4-5 foot waves and was swamped as we were approached shore. Not fun!! Blame it on the weather, driver, boat configuration, whatever you like, but when I went for a cruise on the Kingfisher boat I knew that would not happen. I would be safe. It is crafted with sturdy, solid all welded aluminium and manufactured in Vernon BC, giving me an understanding that if they?re manufacturing for the Pacific waters that are fierce and furious at times, safety and security are in their design.
