If you have been following me you know that I enjoy my cranks. Weather it be casting or trolling them, it's a great way to cover water quickly. They're a great way to learn a new water body also.
The last couple of years I have been using the Berkley Flicker Shads with great results. So much that I always have one tied onto one of my rods always. They come in a variety of colors and some retailers have colors only offered by them.
One day while on facebook I came across a post that had some awesome paint jobs on some Berkley Flicker Shads. They were painted by Reborn" Custom Design & Airbrushed Tackle Creations".
After a couple of messages back and forth I learned that the angler that was responsible for these creations name was Rick. Ever since he can remember he went fishing with his Father and when he turned 18 he turned his focus to chasing Walleye and Saugers.
In one of his messages I learned that Rick was a victim of a hit and run. He has had 5 knee replacements and is scheduled for a 6th. In Ricks' words " I love fishing and building tackle not just for myself but for others also". It is the one thing that I am good at since my hit n run and the loss of my leg". Rick found that by doing his paint jobs kept him busy and his mind centered. Rick still get out once in awhile when his health allows him to.
Rick is Not a Manufacture or Company. His reward is the pictures he receives from anglers of the fish that they caught using his tackle. Rick not only paints crank baits but also offers custom paint jobs for bucktail jigs,

Rick mailed me a couple of his Flicker Shads that he painted. When I opened it up there was four Flicker Shads, each placed in separate sealed plastic bags. The hooks and split rings were in a triple zip lock bagies at the bottom of the package to protect them from any damage that might have occurred during shipping.
