SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Lady Bass Anglers Association are on the Red River!
The ladies of the LBAA launched their boats at safe light this morning September, 13 2013 from the ramp of the Red River South Marina, in Bossier City, LA as they compete for cash and bragging rights as the AOY and CAOY ranking run close enough to be decided this event. This weekend’s top two “wild card” winners will also earn an automatic spot in the LBAA Classic being held next month in Garland Texas. The wild card winners will be joined in the classic by the other ladies who have competed all season for points to place in the event. Yesterday’s registration and pairing meeting was filled with laughter and confidence as the ladies reunited for their final event of the 2013 Tournament Season.
The event features lady anglers from the original line up since the beginning of the LBAA and they are being joined by several new comers to the sport of bass fishing. The most unique characteristic of the LBAA that sets it apart from other tournament trails is the kindness, concern and friendships among their members. The bond they share is genuine and that is displayed in the way the welcomed the new members to the LBAA that will be fishing in the Red River Tournament today.
For the fans that are in the Shreveport-Bossier City area are in for a treat the next two days as the live weigh in takes place at the Red River South Marina at 3:00 PM. Many of the ladies have been on the water for practice week and despite the high temperatures and humidity have persevered to locate bass during practice. The results of the weigh in for this event are important to the “wild card” winners to make it to the LBAA Classic as well as for those ladies seeking to win the AOY and the CAOY rankings for 2013.
