Hey All,
Had a blast at the Fin Addict Tournament last month on Calaveras Lake Texas, near San Antonio. The tournament was combined, for Catfish and Red Drum. Calaveras is unique because it is a power plant cooling lake, it stays warm and has the right mineral makeup to support the normally saltwater red fish. But, they can not spawn in the lake, so they are stocked.
The tournament stringer was six fish, with no more than 3 reds. We did ok, but did not finish in the money. It was still a blast and I look forward to Fin Addicts next tournament. 29 boats competed, and we finished around 5th. After the weigh-in there was the awards ceremony, raffle, and a cookout. Just a good time overall.
I got some on board video footage that I have linked below, WARNING there is some colorful language which may not be appropriate for the young ones and those that are easily offended. So, if you can handle it, click the link below and enjoy the video.
