On May 10, 2014 we had our first HOW event of the 2014 season. It was held on Lake Picatinny at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.
For those that do not know, HOW (Heroes On the Water) is a volunteer organization that takes injured Veterans and their families out kayak fishing for the day. It is completely for the Veteran and their family and everything is provided- kayak, paddle, life jacket, rod/reels, lures/baits and a guide. If the Veteran has his/her own kayak and gear they are more than welcome to bring it and will still be provided with a guide for the day.
