Such an easy question, with a not so easy answer. I fish anywhere I can. My main focus of fishing these last couple
years has been the high country of Colorado.
There are thousands of lakes in the Colorado back country that hold
fish, and with a little effort can be accessed.
I hike or 4-wheel into these lakes to fish and camp. The main species of fish that inhabit these
lakes are trout species with some holding a few others like the elusive
grayling.
On average I try to hit at least ten to twenty of these
lakes a year since the season is so short do to snow and ice. The fish in these lakes can be very
aggressive or remind you that it is called fishing and not catching. The water is so clear and the scenery so magnificent
that you get lost in the moment over and over again. Just when you think you?ve seen the most
beautiful lake in Colorado you hike over the next peak to experience it all
over again. If you have and questions
about fishing these lakes keep reading my blog here or check out my website and
forum at http://www.coloradomountainfishing.com.
