Task 19: Whats in season in your area? - Everything!
Colorado
is one of those lucky states that do not have seasons, you can catch all
species all year round here in Colorado.
Spring is currently coming which will mean the flathead catfish are
moving to the shallows, the rainbow trout will be making their spawning runs as
will the walleye. Some lakes are still
iced over and you can poke holes for smallmouth bass, panfish, and pike. Pretty much where ever you go in the state
you have some fishing option right now.
If the reservoirs are still frozen over and not safe you can hit the
tailwaters below them and hook up with some nice size trout. The ice on the big rivers is breaking up and
heading down stream freeing up the deep hiding spots the fish have been laying
in all winter.
Spring
fishing in Colorado has it all, open water fishing, ice fishing, and river
fishing anything you could want. So get
out there and wet a line you never know what?s waiting for you. An always if you?d like to see some current
fishing reports in the Colorado area check out my forum to see what?s biting.
