5th Annual Carp Slam

Please join Denver Trout Unlimited as they host the 5th Annual Carp Slam. The Pro Am Carp Slam will be held Saturday August 27, 2011 at Fuel Café in Denver, Colorado.

The South Platte Pro-Am Carp Slam teams up professional and amateur fly fishers to chase the elusive common carp on the waters of the South Platte River in and around downtown Denver. Our tournament is challenging, and fun! It also benefits restoration efforts taking place on our metro area South Platte River.

Carp Slam 5

This year?s event will be open to 15 amateur anglers who will be randomly paired with professional guides from shops throughout Colorado. Teams will randomly pick beats laid out on The South Platte River in Denver. Cost for participation is $250 per angler and your fee includes a day of fishing with a professional on the South Platte, lunch/after-party, gear bag valued at over $50 and the opportunity to be Denver?s Carp Slam champion. This year?s tournament is now sold out!

An Evening on the South Platte

The awards party is open to the public. Awards party will be a celebration of The Pro-Am. This new event, located at Confluence Park will feature the winners from the day of fishing, food, music, silent and live auction and special awards. The Evening on the South Platte is from 7-10 PM. Tickets are $50 in advance.
