After the process of melting the plastic, then the next thing to do would be to put in a little bit of coloring on to the plastic. An optional step would be to even put glitters on to it so that it can look a little prettier.
After creating a hot liquid mix, one should now try to find a mold for his lure. Now there are molds in fishing stores with a lot of different designs that one actually choose from. So depending on what shape he would want his lure to be, all he has to do would be to decide on the design of the mold.
After buying the mold, then one now has to slowly pour in the hot plastic mix inside in order for it to shop. Always remember to make sure that the entire mold is filled with the liquid so that the lure will be a good size. However, one should be extremely careful in this process because if the liquid plastic touches the skin, there might be harmful effects.
Now for the lure to dry up, one has to take a container and put some cold water in it. The next thing to do here would be to place the mold on top of the cold water so that it cools off. The cold water will make the cooling process faster which means that the hot liquid will harden really fast.
Although this step is optional, it can be done and will actually be quite helpful. What one can do in order to attract more fish to the handmade fishing lures would be to put some fish oil so that the smell will blend with the fish. After doing this, then he just has to wait a few minutes before he can use the lure.
