First, you need to go prepared. Bring your best fishing rods and reels and an assortment of jigs, live baits and colorful baits which crappie tend to enjoy. Make sure you come with more than one type of bait since crappie can often be selective and may not respond to the first thing you try. This gives you freedom to experiment with different things until you find one that the crappie like.
