This article is about the different types of fishing and the pros and cons of each one from my experience (its not massive). As a boy I use to fish an awful lot mainly sea fishing and I found that sea fishing can be very boring compared to carp fishing or fresh water fishing such as fly fishing. The reason for this is I found my success rate of actually catching a fish was very low and in the winter when its freezing cold and you don't even have a bite its sooo frustrating. The good thing about sea fishing is that there is a massive market of sea fishing tackle and is definitely the market leader as your on a beach with your family who can do as they please compared to if your stuck on a boat or a river bank.

How expensive is sea fishing tackle?

Sea fishing tackle start up kits can be as little as twenty pounds for a rod and reel and go up to thousands of pounds depending on a number of factors:-

The size of your fishing rod (6ft,8ft,10ft or 12ft)

The fishing reel type (fixed spool or multiplier)

Then there is your actual fishing tackle and fishing tackle box which you can have as big or small as you like! I went fishing once with 4 weights and 10 hooks and i came back with 4 weights and 10 hooks!! but then other times you can lose lots of fishing tackle in rocks, sea weed or your chosen line strength wasn't strong enough and just snapped trying to land a whopper of a fish! (shark). Overall I would try sea fishing if you a mature person as like most fishing sports its a waiting game but sea fishing takes that little bit of extra time.

My favourite kind of fishing is river fishing from carp to fly fishing as you catch so many fish and is a lot more exciting! You may need a river license but it is well worth it and you can take young children with you as its very exciting for them as well.

Carp fishing tackle is fairly expensive so I would recommend looking around on the internet as there are a lot of fishing tackle stores on line these days, I used to use a local guy in Watchet and a fishing tackle specialist on line called Veals Fishing Tackle as I found them to be the best price and if anything went wrong with the equipment they are on hand to sort any issues out.
