Many Adventures Await in the Key West Fishing Florida

A journey down the Overseas Highway through the Keys of Florida can be exciting in itself, and there are many things to see and do on each of these small islands off the Southern Coast of Florida. There is Key Largo, Ismorada, Marathon, Key West, and Big Pine, plus the Lower Keys to choose your vacation plans. Key Largo is at the North end of the Island Chain, and Key West at the Southern end. There are many different outdoor sports activities you can experience here, from snorkeling and scuba diving in it's warm waters, to chartering a boat and fishing, and even just lounging at one of the many clubs and enjoying the crowds go by.

Deep ledge fishing is the spot of choice for anglers who are looking for big king mackerel, muttons, vermilion and lane snappers, larger porgy, mangrove, silk and genuine red snappers. Fishing in the wrecks is ideal to catch big amberjack, smoker kings, grouper and blacktip sharks.

 Charters to the South Bond in the Keys offer challenging and exciting fishing, usually at depths of 1,000 to 2,000 feet. Seasoned anglers will delight in the challenge of the hunt for dolphin (the fish), marlin, sailfish, shark, tuna and wahoo.

It is better to go with a guide into the backcountry, where fishing is the best. People who prefer silence and solitude while exploring the waters of the Keys will also prefer backcountry fishing

There are some interesting places to visit as well. One of the is the Albury House, at MM 91.7 Oceanside. Although this is now an antique and collectible shop, it was built in 1913, and was constructed with the notion that in the event of a hurricane that it would float rather than be destroyed. In the Labor Day Hurricane in 1935, not only did it float, it actually knocked over the Key Largo train depot, and settled down right on it after the waters receded.

Some other places to see are the The Caribbean Shipwreck Museum and Research Institute, and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first underwater state park in Key West Fishing in Florida America. There are many places along the Keys to camp and bring your RV, and you should spend at least a week, exploring all that you can.
